The World Health Organization [WHO] has argued the new president of Tanzania Samia Suluhu to work together and prioritize the fight against the global COVID 19 pandemics. Samia Suluhu was sworn in as the sixth president of Tanzania and the first female president of the republic, following the untimely death of John Pombe Magufuli.
CEO of WHO Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus congratulated her and hope they will work together to fight the pandemic.
Magufuli had dismissed the existence of coronavirus and even the country didn’t give any public data of the coronavirus since May 2020.
The government had refused even to purchase vaccines, despite calls for the World Health Organization. Tedros hope that Samia will have a new approach to the fight against COVID 19.
