West Pokot has surprised many Kenyans as it becomes the first Rift Valley county to pass BBI.This is after Baringo become first county to reject BBI.
West Pokot MCAs unanimously voted to endorse the BBI bill on Tuesday, February 16, citing the proposed additional resources from 15% to 35%. At least 24 counties need to pass BBI out of the 27 counties.
Busia County Assembly was not left behind as they also voted in support of the constitutional change quest.
