Vivian Achieng Oray, US based former Kenyan international opens a football academy in Kisumu.

US based former Kenya international, Vivian Achieng Oray, has opened a football academy in Kisumu. Oray Football Academy as it shall be known targets to provide unparalleled opportunities for young aspiring footballers.

 Vivian Achieng Oray who plays in the USA started her brilliant playing career at Athletic Youth Stars (ASYA) based in Nyalenda within Kisumu County under the guidance of coach Duncan Omondi. “Messi” as she is popularly known then joined Butere Girls High School captaining the school team. During her final year at the high school, she earned her maiden national team call up. Vivian also turned out for Western Commandos in the then Women premier league

Oray Football Academy will offer free specialized training sessions, physical conditioning and serve as a platform for the young players to showcase their abilities and connect with professional clubs and scouts.

With more than 10 years experience as a professional footballer, Vivian targets budding talents between the ages of 9 and 15 years. In order to enhance the program, the academy has partnered with a number of local schools for the current stage of development. Players will train at the academy facility. The program will also be enhanced with fixtures arranged against semi professional and professional teams to develop the footballers further.
