Kenyans have taken to social media to complain of the new loan given to Kenya by International Monetary Fund worth of sh 256 billion. Considering the high debt, the country has got itself in and massive corruption that has been evident from the previous loans awarded to the country.
Kenyans started an online petition seeking to bar IMF from awarding the loan to the country and to deny any other further request of loans from Kenya.
However, CEO of KFCB Ezekiel Mutua has sneered the complains and campaigns being conducted on social media. The moral CEO told Kenyans that IMF doesn’t conduct its business on social media, hence their petition would be inconsequential.
Mutua said Kenyans should use the sovereign power wisely when it comes to electing leaders during election period, Since the leaders we elect are the ones responsible for the current state of the country.
