Senior Counsel John Khaminwa told the court that his client Sonko was mentally unfit to stand graft case of 10 million shillings that he is facing.
The Milimani Law Courts chief magistrate Peter Ooko ruled that the matter be mentioned on March 12, 2021 after receiving a psychiatric assessment report from KNH.
The embattled governor Mike Sonko will undergo the psychiatric test pending trial. Lawyer Khaminwa has accused Douglas Ogoti for being biased.
The chief magistrate refused to withdraw from the corruption case, he told the court that there was no evidence to show he made unfair pronouncements on the matter in his past ruling.
