Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina is claiming that the Parliament can’t do its work of oversighting the Executive.
This is because the Executive lead by President Uhuru Kenyatta is controlling the parliament hence it cannot do its work. The outspoken senator said the leaders of various House Committees were being forced to follow the executive directives and those who defiled were axed from their seats.
He added that Kenya was on a borrowing spree and not even the legislature could stop it. Ledama remarks come in the midst of citizens complaining about the alarming rate of borrowing large high commercial loans by Jubilee government.
Earlier Leader of Majority in National Assembly Amo Kimunya had revealed that the House will have to enlarge the debt limit which is currently set at 9 trillion, so that it can be able to accommodate the borrowing.
Kenya debt currently stands at KSH 7.3 -8.4 Trillion.
