Agnes Kavindu emerged victorious in the just concluded Machakos Senatorial by election. The race was a two-horse race, after the MCC candidate withdrew in the last hour in favor of Agnes Kavindu.
This was after a virtual consultative meeting between the President and leaders of party that support the Handshake.
After that Agnes had only one competitor who was Urbanus Ngengele of UDA Party. Johnstone Muthama who is the chairman UDA has congratulated his ex-wife for emerging victor with such a big win and also congratulated his party candidate Urbanus for displaying such a spirited fight in the race.
Also, Senator Murkomen an ally of Ruto and UDA party also congratulated Agnes for the win and welcomed her to the upper house.
