Orange Democratic Party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has said that the party took part in the globally marked April Fool’s Day pranks.
Yesterday it was reported that ODM party leader Raila Odinga had submitted his formal application seeking to be the party`s flag bearer in the upcoming 2022 general election. Edwin Sifuna has revealed that it was a prank and that most Kenyans especially their rivals had fallen for it.
He clarified that former Prime Minister Raila Odingas’ position still remains the same. That he will reveal his 2022 politics plans after the Building Bridges Initiative [BBI] process is done with.
Sifuna stated that the ODM party had only received two presidential application that is from Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya.
He further added that the two will be processed in the normal manner by the National Elections Board of the party.
