The government of Kenya has responded accordingly to the United Kingdom order of suspending flights from Kenya to UK till further notice due to COVID 19 crisis.
In a statement released by ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kenya critiqued the decision by UK stating that the decision is a discriminatory policy and did not reflect logic and knowledge of the virus or the pandemic.
The government defended itself said it had done an exemplary work in the fight against Covid 19. The ministry added that all passengers originating from UK or transiting from UK airports will have to undergo mandatory quarantine at government designated facilities at their own cost.
They will also be required to undergo a PCR COVID 19 test on the second and eighth day of their quarantine at their own cost.
However, Kenyan citizens from UK or transiting through UK will be exempted from the travel restrictions. Netizens have lauded the government for their stern response to UK ban.
