Journalist Betty Mutekhele had worked for KBC for 12 years before her death in the hands of senseless robbers.

Kenyan media fraternity and Kenyans at large are in mourning following the demise of Betty Mutekhele a veteran journalist of Kenya Broadcasting Company [KBC]. Betty passed away after being shot by thugs at her home in Ololua, Ngong on Wednesday April 7 night.

Betty had worked at KBC for over 12 years since joining the media house back 2009. According to eye witnesses the journalist arrived at home at around 8:20 pm when a gang of armed robbers who were at the gate forced their entry into her compound then to her house.

The robbers demanded money and other valuables from her then asked her to lead them to the master bedroom.

An argument arose between the two that lead to Betty being shot twice in the head despite her pleas to spare her life. May    Her soul rest in peace.
