Senator of Siaya James Orengo who is a close ally of former Raila Odinga has affirmed to supporters and Kenyans at large that the Handshake between President Uhuru and Raila is strong and solid.
Orengo said those trying to read between the lines that the Handshake is dead are getting it all wrong. The senator said that the main purpose of the Handshake was to bring unity, stability and peace to the country after the 2017 general election that had made the country more volatile and divided.
Minority leader in the senate also clarified that the Handshake and BBI are not supposed to help politicians reach their political ambitions but build a united nation ahead of 2022 general election. He further faulted the new political alliance saying those in the alliance had no moral authority to lead the country.
