The third edition of Eldoret City Marathon which was set to happen on April 11th has been postponed. The patron of the marathon Governor Jackson Mandago said that they have decided to postpone the race following the directive from president Uhuru Kenyatta that suspended all sporting activities in the country due to the surging cases of Covid 19. The county boss urged athletes to continue registering since the race has to go on after the cases of coronavirus decline.

Harambee stars head coach Jacob Ghost Mulee has put foreign players on notice saying going forward they will have to battle hard for their slot in the national team. He said since local based players have really improved their game. He also applauded AFC Leopards defender Asenji for stepping up during their match against Togo. The defender was re called to the squad last minute after Wazito defender Omurwa was given straight red card during the last match against Egypt.

Real Madrid and Germany midfielder Tony Kross has sharply criticized 2022 World Cup host nation Qatar. His critic come in the midst of several European nations protesting about working conditions of workers in the Emirate State. The midfielder said that it wasn’t wise for the country to be awarded to host World Cup. Qatar has faced a lot of critics from European nations such countries are Belgium, Netherlands, Germany Norway, by plays wearing t-shirts protesting about the welfare of workers in the state. However, Qatar authorities have maintained that they have done a lot than any other country in the region when it comes to welfare of the workers both immigrants and locals.

The reigning US Open and Australian Open champion Nomi Osaka who last tested defeated back February in 2020, was defeated Maria Sakkari in the quarter finals. The world No2 is optimistic that she will learn from the defeat lessons and looks forward to hopefully winning a title on clay this season.
Fans to return for Leicester Southampton FA Cup Semi-final.
Wembley FA semi final between Leicester vs Southampton that is scheduled to played on April 18 will be a test event for return of supporters to stadiums, neither of the two clubs’ fans would be allowed but the 4,000 local Wembley residents. The UK government is hopeful that a large crowd will attend the final of Wembley FA.
