It was a defining moment for the Building Bridges Initiative. As more than 26 counties endorsed the constitution bill yesterday, while other counties endorsed it last week and before.
A threshold of 24 counties was need to ensure the bill moves to the next stage, as the constitution indicates. This was a big win for the two leaders, Uhuru and Raila who are the initiators of Handshake, that resulted to BBI.
Raila congratulated the MCAs and governors of various counties of giving the BBI bill the required support to move to the next stage.
The former Prime minister also the lauded the county leaders, for being firm and standing with the bill. Despite, the numerous critics of the bill to misrepresent facts and mislead the people about the contents of the draft.
