Babu Owino pleads with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Outspoken lawmaker of Embakasi East Paul Ongili Owino well known as Babu Owino has pleaded with President Uhuru Kenyatta to intervene and stop demolitions in Njiru.

He asks the President to help stop the demolition since it has left more than 5,000 residents homeless and counting huge losses following the demolitions conducted by government to pave way for development projects.

Babu Owino lamented on how the residents were homeless and getting exposed to the COVID 19 virus putting in mind on how it is ruthless.

The lawmaker also stated that the demolition had created a lot of losses to the resident since most buildings had been built from bank loans and at a such crazy time of COVID 19 pandemic.

He further urged the president to direct the government agencies responsible for the demolition to stop since it was impacting negatively the lives of the residents both health wise and financially.
